Remarks & Notes |
The famous Y-shaped lines on Jingzhang (Beijing - Kalgan) Railway in order to reduce gradient. When a train is going uphill, it should firstly approach from the left line and park at Qinglongqiao station behind me, then reverses and continues the climbing along the railway to the right side. Assisted by this smart design, the train doesn't need to run on steep ascent. PS: It was not dangerous to take this picture as the train was leaving me (going downhill). |
