Remarks & Notes
One thing the Big Horn Sub isnt, that is flat! Here 4 units are wide open as they climb the 5 miles of 1% grade out of the Powder River Valley at Arvada, WY to Kendrick. This train has one extra unit over most trains so it isnt working as hard, but most 2x1 coal trains are down on their knees climbing into Kendrick. Helpers will be needed on the next grade for this load, 1.25% grade for 10 miles is too much even for 4 units.
