Remarks & Notes |
UP's Coast Sub hosts some great opportunity for bagging freight traffic... when it runs. San Luis Obispo is visible in the background as this northbound autorack begins it's attack on Cuesta's 2% grade. Stenner Creek Trestle seems of little consequence from this bird's eye view, but is quite worthy of it's own attention on other days. This view overlooks an EMD GE duo pulling their way up through Espee's old Goldtree. The tracks above the train are where the siding of Chorro lies, which the train will climb up in the opposite direction after traversing the horseshoe curve, which is just off to the right. This area is on 900 mhz which gives some good supplemental info for coordinating the shots which Matt and I were able to bag this day. |
