3015 is the trailing unit. Next is the baggage car which has a generator for HEP for the three coaches. DMU 751 is at the head. The red signals mean the tunnel operator is not ready for the train because highway traffic is in the tunnel. The A-frame tunnel entrance is to divert snow slides. ARR’s Glacier Discovery runs daily in the summer Anchorage to Whittier in the morning and Whittier to Anchorage in the evening. Midday it meanders among the glaciers south of Portage. Here it is headed home to Anchorage.
