Remarks & Notes |
As the West Highland gloom deepens, the freshly applied bright red livery on 1961-veteran 37670 shines through as the 'Northern Belle' returns from Oban. The 'Northern Belle' is run by the Orient Express people and tours Britain every year, offering luxury days out to mainly corporate customers. It attracts railfans on its 4-5 annual visits to Oban as the 1961 English Electric 'growlers' are the only locos normally permitted on the line, the regular service being provided by class 156 Sprinter units. |
