Remarks & Notes |
The former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway bridge spans the River Calder at Mirfield. The 'boom' across the river prevents canal barges (that also use the river here) inadvertently going over the weir! 'Princess Royal' class Pacific No 46201 cruises eastbound with a Liverpool to Scarborough special. The train was appropriately titled 'The Coast to Coast Express'. |
