Remarks & Notes

Amtrak's southbound Coast Starlight made ketchup out of a tomato truck that strayed onto an unprotected crossing in the Salinas Valley. The trailer was split in two, but thankfully the driver and his son(!) were not hurt. The truck can be seen in the distance; also note the tomato impaled by Amtrak #4's bent windshield wiper.
