1930's?... 1940's?... a young boy gives a wave while swimming as a passenger train with PRR open-window coaches rumbles across the bridge above, and the covered bridge is the public thoroughfare across the creek. Actually, this is 2009, and the train is Danville's Iron Heritage Festival excursion train running on the North Shore Railroad, the covered bridge is Rupert Bridge No.56, restored and in service, and yes, the waters of Fishing Creek are still refreshing on a hot summer day.
