Remarks & Notes |
One of MUNI's Melbourne Trams makes a stop in front of the Ferry Building. Lacking a grand train station, San Francisco makes up for it with the grand ferry building. Including a 245-foot-tall clock tower modeled after the 12th century bell tower in the Seville Cathedral in Spain, the 1896 building was the terminus for all train travelers from the east for decades. Tram No. 496 was built by the Moore firm in 1929, one of 35 W-2 cars built by Moore. |
