After driving over two hours from Binghamton in anticipation of seeing ALCO’s, Railpictures.net contributor Gary Schermerhorn and I were not let down by the WNYP!! We followed the line West into Cuba and after hearing horns, but not seeing the train, quickly turned around and drove about a mile East of town to this location. The ALCO’s had to work uphill and generated some wonderful sounds in the valley that added to our anticipation of our first shots in this chase. Seeing first one, then two, and finally three big units come around the bend laying a smoke screen in our viewfinders fulfilled our wishes and we knew it was going to be a good day.
