Remarks & Notes
Oldest original steamlocomotive of Switzerland, built in 1858 by Kessler, Esslingen/Germany for the "Schweizerische Centralbahn", finished her summer out on the tracks with a journey over the Bözberg from Rheinfelden to Brugg (AG), with grades up to 1.4 %. The engine was built for mountain service, the original Hauenstein line has grades up to 2.7 %, so the "Spanisch Brötli Bahn" train was an easy task. The locomotive will soon be back in the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne, probable for many years.
