Another dig through the the old negatives, I scanned this old shot from 1980. Class 25 no. 25 120 double heads with classmate no. 25 060 climbing Miles Platting bank away from Manchester Victoria. They are working hard pulling a PW train of new concrete-sleepered track, probably heading for Castleton PW Depot. The leading loco was cut up in 1984, while the other lasted until 1987 before succumbing to the torch. |
