Remarks & Notes |
On a rainy autumn day the Amtrak Coast Starlight train 14 rolls north through the truss bridge at Fall Creek Junction. Constructed in 1951, the seven-span bridge traverses the Willamette River. It was one of five bridges that Southern Pacific Railroad had to build for a track relocation project that made way for Lookout Point Reservoir. The Army Corps of Engineers laid 25 miles of track in addition to 6 sidings. |
