Once king of the milk trains, the DFB class has been bumped off the top perch by more powerfull and reliable GE's. The real killer for the DFB class was in the replacing of their obsolete Maxitrax wheelslip systems with new GE Brightstar computers, which were not designed for old GM locos and were far too restrictive and making the DF class "gutless". |
