Remarks & Notes |
NS 61A struggling up Duncan Hill in the 2004 Ohio Valley Snowstorm as a crew member prepares to protect the crossing. This was the second part of a forced double of the hill in the heavy 2-3 inch per hour snow that was accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts of the region. NS 61A was fighting up the hill with pushers and stalled. This forced NS to double the hill. Here the motors have just returned for the 2nd part of the train while the snow hammers down. A Christmas Present I got in 2004 was being there. Merry Christmas to everyone at RP.net |
