Rusted orange Hartwell 454 is a rare bird, one of the few surviving SD7's and the only one in Georgia. Unfortunatly this former B&LE unit is now out of service, and sits landlocked at the railroads former shops in Airline, GA. Since the last customer stopped shipping by rail, the original Hartwell RR into its namesake town has been filled with storage cars. To the left is one of the many pieces of MOW equipment that litter the shop area.
A collection of engines, cabooses, cars, etc., great and small that are past their prime, but represent a spirit of railroading that will never pass away!!
