Coast Rail Services GP9 #1965 sits in BNSF's Fontana Logistics Center. Built for CB&Q as #280 in July of 1954, this unit became Burlington Northern #1965 after the merger. It was featured in a Trains article in 1983 after a room was built in the short hood for a conductor, with a couple of seats, a desk, and a lamp (note the windows in the nose). This was to allow for the elimination of way cars. But it proved too hot in summer to work. Today the unit is used by Overland Trail in their contract to switch the Logistics Center.
