It is incredible to think that almost two years earlier I was standing in the same spot waiting to take my first and possibly THE first daylight photos of the 'new' NJT multilevel cars on the North Jersey Coast Line. After going into service in December 2006, it took a year before the cars made their debut on the NJCL on the 3:55 train out of New York Penn. This meant that they would not be seen crossing the Raritan River while the sun was still above the horizon until January 11, 2008. Two years later, a multilevel set is seen heading south across the bridge just before sunset. Out of the four trains I saw this evening, this was the third multilevel that went by. It is amazing how fast things change.
