| A a cold Minnesota morning, NSM 657 throws of some heat while leading a half train of empties back from Silver Bay to the mine at Babbit, MN. When it's this cold the railroad usually cuts the train in half to avoid air problems and with the nearby detector revealing it was -24 degrees at the time, that was all the convincing it took. BTW water freezes some 56 warmer than the air temp. at the time of this photo. |
