Cecil 2. Engineer, supervisor, fellow co-worker, and RP contributor Drew Mitchem eases his 136 car coal train to a stop. With temps in the teens and 4 inches of snow on the ground, the unloading process of this Coal Creek Junction to Rush Island train continues, as the hungry Ameren Power Plant eats about 15,000 tons of coal a day to produce power to the local area. Photo taken with permission, considering of course, I do this for a living.
Photo albums dedicated to the Men, and Women that keep the Railroad running around the clock 365 days a year. From Dispatcher to Track Gangs, these are the people that make the railroad moves!
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
