The hottest of the hots roars past the westward home signal for the crossovers at Bosworth at track speed. In the old days, this would've been QNYLA train time. I forget how much a rush it is to have the wind buffeting of this fast train, even as I watch it pass a safe distance away. The Santa Fe cantilevers & H2's are soon to be replaced here, the eastward home signals have already seen replacement by a new cantilever mast and tri-lighters, and now just wait for cutover before the old tower is torched. And so it goes. This conversion continues at a rapid pace over the entire Marceline sub (and system). Shoot em while you can.
