| Still hard at work after nearly 50 years, 31233 sends a plume of acrid exhaust skyward at Perth station. While most class 31s have been turned into coke cans and razor blades, a few of these locos have been retained to operate Network Rail's various infrastructure monitoring trains - such as the laser based Optical Structure Gauging Train seen here. |
