Remarks & Notes |
With NJT pulling the former Amtrak P40s out of service after one suffered a fire caused by an injector failure, the Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) trains are being powered by PL42ACs for the time being. An empty NJT multilevel cab car was on the point of this train, with PL42AC 4001 pushing as the sun emerged from the clouds for a few minutes before sunset at Hamilton. Because the PL42s can't fit in the Hudson River tunnel, the train will stop at Newark and passengers will transfer to a NJT local for the final few miles into New York Penn Station. |
