Remarks & Notes

A supercell rotates upon itself in a fury of lightning for hours on end as it makes it's way eastward throughout the night. It is amazing the such a power storm can be so tightly packaged that the clear night sky and stars can be seen over it and in front of it. I started chasing this storm as it was forming in New Mexico as it started to explode with constant lightning as I sped behind it for hours as I drove the Texas panhandle. When I found a spot to park the truck and sleep the storm was still going strong off in the distance as I dosed off. Four hours later as the morning sun rose I could still see an anvil shaped storm way off in the distance which may have been the same storm.
