CP 4702,4726 are chugging right along with with a heavy 481 right at sunset on a bitter February day. We had a line up out of Cartier for the area and had covered everything possible but this train, which oddly enough did not have a lead unit listed. As we walked around freezing, we begin to question the wisdom of waiting, especially as the sun quickly began to sink onto the horizon and the 30mph northwest wind seemed to be getting through all of our clothing. Waiting in the truck was out of the question as hearing the train before it arrived was not possible due to the howling wind. In any case we were glad we made the effort as apparently this train had been giving up units since leaving St. Luc due to east-bounds having power trouble in the frigid conditions, leaving this pair of big MLW's to go it alone. This photo was shot by my wife Sonya who definitely drew the attention of the head end crew, giving the big wave.
