Remarks & Notes |
Spring has sprung along the Buchanan Branch of the Pokey. Creeping downhill with 200 loads as they cross Knox Creek they'll soon go thru Devon Tunnel and pop out in WV on the Pocahontas main. The train has come all the way from Weller Yard and I later caught up with the five motor pusher set that shoved from the Thomas wye to the other side of Riatt Tunnel, breaking off around one of the Clinton Elkhorn loadouts east of Hurley. One of the most severe grades on the many branchlines of the Pokey. |
