Remarks & Notes |
As many times as railbuffs have photographed trains on Copper Creek Viaduct I have often heard that newer angles are becoming tougher and tougher to find. With that in mind I decided to do something a little different. Instead of photographing with the sun behind my back I decided to photograph at my front to create this silhouette. What made this shot a bit more of a challenge was the strong high afternoon sun. As a bit more of an interest we see this train is running with just one locomotive. That just shows the power that one AC44 has to brute a string of 90 empty hoppers or more on the grades of the former Clinch. We are talking near 2% in some places. |
