Remarks & Notes |
Reminders. Almost 20 years after Amtrak service was rerouted off the former Central Vermont and onto a parallel former New Haven line, white ballast and superelevated curves still remain in some spots along what is now New England Central's main line, reminding one and all that this was a passenger main line until the mid-1990s. Here the Geometry Extra leans into one of the first curves south of Palmer, headed for the Providence & Worcester connection at New London. |
