The LIRC transfer job heads north for Jeff Yard with a cut from the NS interchange in Louisville. It was quite nerve racking setting up for this shot with the sun going in and out, but the clouds cooperated when it counted most, providing good light on the engines and head cars. Every time I attempt to capture this scene from up high (as opposed to the parking lot below) somebody pulls up at the very last second, parks in the middle of my shot, and stands in front of me - today being no exception. Oh well, maybe the "human element" crowd will see something positive in it!
