I spent a good many hours here that day and watched plenty of repair truck heading down the line towards Invermere. Fed up I headed north only to be met by this train heading south after about 30 miles. Dashed back to get this picture in the late afternoon sun. Apologies to all knowledgeable people regarding the lack of locomotive ID. I love the trains but as a visitor don't know the model type.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
