Remarks & Notes |
The Caboolture and Ipswich Lines are the home of the 60 Series Electric Multiple Unit (EMU 60-79). These Units were an attempt by the Bjelke-Petersen Government to save money and only have one driver's cab. On any given day, more than half of the nine allocated 6-Car Units for this corridor are this type of train. On a sunny Autumn morning, EMU 74/61 slow for a station stop at Dakabin with CityTrain #1119 to Caboolture. This was the last service through the section before track work and single line running commenced from 10:00 to 13:00. During this time, the up mainline (the track on the left) was closed to all traffic. |
