Waiting to lead the Westbound three train sunset surge is 5951. This is/was a common practice due to the Aurora choke point. The brand new ACe' adds some much needed variety to what at the time of the photo was becoming a Gevofest... *note* See the train way back there. The Conductor is none other than Glen Bean's. 30+ year BN/BNSF vet,and can tell you how many spikes are between Lincoln to Ravenna. Also RP contributor & Engineer, Kevin Piper, knows his way around these part too.
