Remarks & Notes |
An inbound LYNX train whistles for grade crossings on the way into downtown. What is interesting is that these trains have an electronic whistle that sounds like a muted airhorn. They blow the conventional two longs, short and long as they sail through the crossings. The white lights on the gates trackside flash when the gates are lowering and show a steady while when the gates are completely down alerting operators that the crossing is secure to pass through. In downtown light rail vehilces only clang bells whilst crossing streets at grade there. |
