Remarks & Notes |
General Roca Railroad's summer-only train number 112 "El TorreĆ³n" is 18 km. away from his terminal point of Plaza Constitucion, in the southern part of the City of Buenos Aires. Number 112 is one of the 11 daily services (in each direction) to and from the resort city of Mar del Plata, for ever the main center of beach vacationeers' activity during the summer season in Argentina. Consist includes coaches in two paint schemes, the former brown with silver stripes and the new one in white and blue with red stripe. Pulling the train is #9036, one of the 20 GT22CW's built (under a GM-EMD license) between 1979 and 1980 by local builder Astarsa S.A. |
