FINALLY After All These Years! I managed to get a shot of a train crossing the MASSIVE St. Johns River Drawbridge in downtown Jacksonville. CSX, Norfolk Southern, AND FEC can all be found crossing this bridge, but it is controlled by FEC. Here we have a Northbound NS Intermodal making its way onto the draw bridge after picking up its train from FEC's Bowden Yard with a nice M-2 leading a pair of Dash 9s across the St. Johns River. Also, Thank God for Telephoto lens! I couldn't find the parking lot to get the 'actual' shot I was trying to capture so I was forced to stand in the Time Union Visitor's Parking Lot and take this shot since once I arrived the bridge started going down which meant a train was 5 mins away...5 mins that wasn't enough time to run my butt to the pedestrian bridge that crosses the drawbridge!
