Remarks & Notes |
Chèvremont is the only railwaystation in the Netherlands that has to be pronounced in French. Veolia GTW 501 is underway from Maastricht Randwyck via Maastricht and Heerlen to Kerkrade Centrum. The line from Heerlen to Kerkrade Centrum (and further to Simpelveld, but that is a preserved railway) is better known as 'Miljoenenlijn' (millionline), because by the time it was build (1934), the line costed 1 million Dutch guilders for every kilometer. |
