| The baggage railcar De 4/4 1679, built in 1928 by SAAS and SWS for the SBB, was used in the Zurich area for commuter trains until 1975. The vehicle was equipped since delivery with multiple unit. During the last years of use 1679 was in operation especially on the routes St.Gallen-Sulgen and St.Gallen-Romanshorn with passenger trains. Since 1983 declared historical vehicle in the depot Rorschach. On this day the very rarely seen railcar was on the road with a wedding day special along Lake Constance near Uttwil. |
