Remarks & Notes |
A quiet Sunday morning finds a crew from the Railroad Museum of New England giving Flagg Coal #75 a workout assembling a string of vintage freight cars in the yard adjacent to the old Plume & Atwood Mill building in downtown Thomaston, CT. Although the crew was just having some fun with their visiting engine, it struck me that the scene they were playing out was remarkably authentic and could easily have taken place 70 years earlier in exactly the same spot. |
