A consist of three GP38's, two GP16's, and a GP18 leads a Gulf to Star grain train over US 220 at Star, NC. This one started with 55 cars from NS at Gulf, but several problems later, it arrived in Star with about 22 cars. The GP18 (#18 - which was supposedly numbered to be restored to NSRy colors) started a few grass fires along the way, including one beside my car at Spies, and the conductor was sentenced to ride the rear to steer a ground man to the fires with an extinguisher.
Crazy pool power consists, colorful gatherings of locomotives at a diesel service area, or a mixture of colorful locomotives in storage lines. A minimum of four different paint schemes required.
