| From 1974 to 1976 I would hang out on the LV at Rochester Jct. The little yard was always active as it served as the base of LVs Rochester and Lima branches. After April 1, 1976 the LV main was abandoned and the branch's would see a CR local a couple times a week. The local would come from Rochester, and work the customers on the Rochester branch along the way to Rochester Jct. Here the local is arriving on the old Rochester branch as seen thru the old station platform. The local will drop off the cars that do not need to be hauled down to Lima and pick them back up on the return trip. |
