Remarks & Notes |
The town of Topton, PA gets its name from being the highest point on the railroad between Reading and Allentown. this old Philadelphia & Reading Railroad station still displays some heritage with the "Topton" sign, thank's to Jim Schlegel and his son's who re-made the sign in approximately 2008. During the Conrail years this station was a maintenance of way depot and was then sold into private ownership. The old station is now occupied by "The Market Cafe". You can have a bite to eat and do some track side rail fanning at the same time.
