| Rail for the Downeaster: The power for Pan Am's welded rail train rolls by the rail it has just brought into town. The rail will be used to upgrade the tracks for Amtrak's Downeaster expanding to Brunswick. The asphalt next to the tracks is where Maine Eastern's passenger trains used to board passengers. That is now done at the station seen in the upper left corner of the shot. |
