In another one of his usual midday departures from Haedo, D. F. Sarmiento Railroad's train number 152 passes in front of closed Haedo Este tower bound for the end of his run at Once terminal. Power of the day is #7601, a General Motors G22 built at Talleres Astarsa, an Argentinian firm working under a G.M. license. Unit began its existence in 1978 as a standard-gauge member of a group of 40 built for the General Urquiza Railroad, but in 1982 she was transfered to the broad-gauge (66") D. F. Sarmiento R.R. Ferrocarriles Argentinos used to hang blue and white badges on locomotives to celebrate patriotic anniversaries, and the circular one bolted to 7601's nose has remained there even after one week has passed from last Independence's Day of 9 July.
