Still looking good in it's factory original paint, Union Pacific SD9043MAC 8038 builds a West Colton manifest at UP North Yard in downtown Salt Lake City. The 'We will deliver' slogan on the long hood was applied to 50 new SD9043MAC units (and various EMD and GE repaints) only to disappear from favor as quickly as it appeared. This EMD model was the longest, single engined EMD ever produced at 80 feet and 2 inches in length and weighing in at over 400,000 pounds.
