Thurbo is a regional company owned by SBB and canton Thurgau. It operates regional trains with GTW models in eastern and northern part of Switzerland. Here, one GTW 2/8 passes Kaiserstuhl, a small border town built 1254. The Oberer Turm (upper tower) of the old protection wall is still in good shape. 1876 Kaiserstuhl got its railway station on the line Winterthur - Koblenz.
