Remarks & Notes |
The Iconic Gravers Lane Station: Built in 1883, Gravers Station (located at 300 E. Gravers Lane) was built by the Philadelphia and Reading to directly compete with the PRR's nearby Chestnut Hill line in Philadelphia. The competition between the PRR and the Reading was quite viscous! The station served passengers as well as living quarters for the station master and his family. A true Reading survivor! |
