With its journey from Mendoza to Buenos Aires soon to be completed, General San Martín Railroad's premier train, number 562 "El Libertador" turns the bend into the bridge that carries the mainline over the four-track main of the General Mitre Railroad, a mere 2 kilometers away from Retiro terminal. The all-air-conditioned consist includes a cinema car (first from the head end in blue with orange stripe), three sleepers, a diner, a tavern-lounge car (also in blue and orange) and three chair cars in the rear. Coupled inmediately behind #9039 is an auto-rack for exclusive carriage of the train patrons' automobiles and pick-up trucks.
