Remarks & Notes |
WC 6654,6501,2401 and DM&IR 171 thunder westbound past the feed mill in Engadine with 54 cars of the first cut of an X-SPLD that had originated at Tilden Mine near Marquette, MI. This cut was set out a couple of miles ahead at Swift and the units ran lite back to Marquette to get the second half of the train. This was a time consuming operation that only ran in the fall of 1995 as Minntac was unable to supply Geneva Steel with enough pellets. |
