| For a while two E units hauled the Lakeshore Limited daily through Massachusetts. I probably should have paid more attention and taken more shots of this event. It must have seemed boring at the time, and the big red nose was a distraction like a bad case of rosacea. E units had the greatest sounding exhaust. It was a bombing sound that I will remember forever. The 310 is also the unit number chosen for the Kato Amtrak E8.
