Late Autumn colours abound at Key Wood on the Churnet Valley Railway in rural Staffordshire. A near perfect still and crisp morning was the ideal setting to see visiting 'Black 5' No.44767 on a mixed train charter traversing this as yet unopened (to the public) section of this prettiest of lines.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
